The eclectic and uber talented king of the late night jazz joint music scene throughout his crazy career. Thelonius Monk ploughed his own furrow and subsequently I wanted to push the angles of my usual work. I decided to create a narrative piece but to push the pop-art angle for “Monk”, which I really enjoyed and furthermore, I think this piece brings some cool, jazzy life to the canvas. I’m always trying to match my style to suit the subject and I think this one worked a treat. This print makes a great splash in its A1 format. xx
