Cubensis variety and is very durable, as proved by its discovery on such a high altitude. Furthermore, it is known to withstand very low and thin oxygen levels unlike many other types of mushrooms or even organisms for that matter which contributes to their reputation of being a an extremely hardy variety to acquire for your library. Features Dark purplish black spores, sub ellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. Usually prints are dark and large, being roughly 50-90mm in diameter.
